Wild Child

My pal Kylen spent the night with us on Thursday evening because her mom had a funeral out of town. We has so much fun together...I love to play with her...I actually call her Ky Ky now too!


Another one of my climbing adventures...mommy says this is mild compared to the other evening when she came out of the bathroom and I was on the dining room table!



I enjoy frequenting this drawer in the kitchen...mommy doesn't appreciate it though.

1st Trip to the ER

Yesterday morning Rich called me at school to tell me that I needed to come home because Treigh had fallen and busted his eye open. After examining the cut, we decided to take him to the emergency room. Luckily the doctor felt it was best to use the skin glue instead of stitches. We were both amazed because the whole process didn't even seem to phase Treigh. Below you will see him in the pappoose just before the glue was applied. What normal child thinks this is funny? This is definitely not going to be our last trip to the er I am sure.
To top the day off, we had to go back to Terre Haute yesterday afternoon for his one year check-up and shots. He weighs 23.5 pounds and is 31 inches tall.


He has really been a trooper...not even touched it yet!

Perhaps this is the reason things like this happen. This was last night after the er and shots...the child fears nothing. I didn't mention before, but he was trying to climb into the entertainment center when he busted his eye open. He can also climb into the dining room chairs now too...as I entered the room and he was climbing up onto the table this evening. I am definitley going to keep him under careful eye...lol!
Note: I do put pants on the child...he just really prefers to run around without them on in the evening. Rich said I needed to note that...he actually said that he looked like a bum.

First Birthday

Saturday we had Treigh's first Birthday party. We celebrated with lots of family and friends. As you can see, the sports theme was right up his alley. If he has a ball then he is happy. He did well opening presents, just got a little restless. He had his own special baseball cake. He started picking at it at first, then dug in and starting eating chunks. Believe it or not, all I had to do was brush him off...not too messy. We want to thank everyone who came to celebrate and also thank you all for the many toys an what-not you showered him with. He is a very loved little boy.

The Newest

Treigh is about to turn one on Saturday...and I can't believe it. I thought I would fill everyone in on the newest things our one year old is doing.
Treigh...
*hasn't had any type of baby food for about six weeks now...once he realized that there was better stuff out there, there was no turning back.
*has not had a bottle for about three weeks now...he was a champ, didn't even cry for one.
*has been drinking milk for about a week now as well.
*is running everywhere.
*has discovered how to climb in to my recliner...no idea how???
*is jumping...about two inches off the ground...but that still counts.
*can take off his diaper...I am not laughing.
* can take his arms out of his shirt, but can't quite get it over his head yet.
*still loves any type of ball...and can swing his golf club now too!
*dances like a crazy man.
*is saying all types o new "words" ...aka sounds.
*throws fits.
*is weraing 24 month clothing and is moving into his size 6 shoes any day.

I have have been off this past week on my spring break. I have really enjoyed spending all day every day with him (despite having my wisdom teeth cut out on Moday). I know that I will not want to go back to school on Monday. We are gearing up for his first birthday party on Saturday...of course "sports-themed." Lots of pics to come.

We had avery nice Easter. We started off the day out our house, obviously. We then went to my grandparents' house for lunch and had the annual egg hunt. We rounded out the day by stopping in at my mom's since the bunny stopped there too for Treigh.

Sidenote: This is Treigh's second Easter before he turns one...interesting huh!

Easter Bunny Visit

We went last Saturday to see the Easter Bunny. Mommy said that she was disappointed and that she didn't blame me for not smiling. She didn't think that he looked very "Easter-Bunny-like." Anyway, her's the pic of me and Mr. B.

Katy's B-day

Last Friday we went to my cousin Katy's birthday party. As yu can see, she is a major Hannah Montana fan.

Rockin' Momma

Aunt Lu, Uncle Brent, the kids and Grandpa won't be here for my birthday party so they went ahead and gave me my birthday gifts. I got some clothes, a cow bowling set, and the Little People farm set. Mommy said that she thought this pic was funny because you can definitely say that I have daddy's hairline...lol!

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. I have been realy busy with my master's classes, day-to-day things, etc...
These are just a few pick of odds an ends. He is getting soo big, and I can't believe that he will be ONE in about three weeks. Enjoy!

We went out to eat this past weekend with grandpa, Aunt Lu, and the kids. Grandma joined us too. They love me, can't you tell. Kyle is my bud...he plays with me all of the time (he's in the middle cheesin' it up).

This seems to be a nightly ritual the past week or so. Yes, I fell asleep while eating...

Ball does not stop when I get in the tub...I am paying tribute to all the dunkers out there! SLAM!


Okay, contrary to what daddy says, mommy does do the laundry...she just does NOT like to...I think that is why she is training me. Either that or I am training for the olympics, because the laundry soap bottle is full...mommy says that I amaze her.

Lazy Bums

We did absolutely nothing all weekend. We stayed at home both Saturday and Sunday. None of us felt the greatest today, so we didn't even get dressed all day. This was taken in late afternoon...still in the pj's. I guess we are all entitled to a day here and there like this.
